Hello

20 something Danni.jpeg

A little about me - I eat too much chocolate, drink too much coffee, and it seems a decent night's sleep is optional. Procrastination is my 'other' middle name, and as reserved as I am in real life, my online persona can be (a tad) mischievous. :)

I've always disappeared into books,  and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is still my all-time favourite childhood story. Then Stephen King and Dean Koontz lured me in with their dark and suspenseful tales and their ability to make the ordinary so much more.

I believed I was a horror writer long before I realised my characters wanted to do that 'kissing stuff' and I had to admit I was a romance writer, too.  That 'kissing stuff' ranges from sweet to spicy depending on the story.

I've always had a thing for curse stories, and there's nothing I love more than to see a character find redemption, even better if they find redemption through romance.  I hope you enjoy them too. :)

About Me - the formal version

D. D. Line lives in coastal South Western Australia with her family and two precocious pups.

Reading was her favourite childhood pastime. In her senior year, thanks to a crush on her English teacher and a desire to impress him, she developed a deep love of writing stories.

She writes Romantic Suspense and Paranormal Romance and dabbles in Contemporary Romance and Horror.

Her Trinket Bay romantic suspense series is published by Gumnut Press. In early 2023, her story, ‘A Twist in the Tail’ won the 2022 ARRA Members Choice Award for Favourite Romance Novella.  In  mid 2022, her story, ‘An Ear to the Ground’ placed in the finals for The NEST awards and the Daphne du Maurier Kiss of Death awards in the United States, and the Koru Award in New Zealand.

Her latest release is a steamy Paranormal University Romance called Moon Rise.

Her short stories have featured and placed in Gumnut Press’s ‘Holiday Kisses’ and ‘Sweet Delights’ anthologies. She won 2022’s KSP Writing Centre’s Spooky Stories with her story, ‘Jimmy and Me’ based on the theme ‘Best Friend.’

She’s a wife and a child wrangler, been a mini lab photo developer, an admin assistant, a copyeditor, a proofreader, (no, she can’t edit her own work), and a wannabe baker who wishes she could sing.

D. D. Line is the Aspiring Ambassador for Romance Writers of Australia (RWA) and a member of Romance Writers of New Zealand (RWNZ) and the Australian Romance Readers Association (ARRA).

She loves hearing from her readers. :)
